1. Are all your amulets genuine?
LPkoon.com’s amulets are guaranteed to be genuine. In the unlikely event that this is not the case, a refund will be offered on any item proven counterfeit by recognized sources from Thailand with the original report and receipt. We do not accept evidence of authenticity based on the comments of friends, websites or competition entry disqualification. As devout Buddhists, we are not interested in any replicas because we strongly believe in karma:
“We have to plant the seeds of goodness now if we want to reap good fruit in this life and the next”.
2. Are there really many counterfeit amulets in the market?
Yes. Due to the value of many well-known pieces, replicas are widely traded in the amulet market by sellers who want to make easy money.
An authentic amulet will complement our good karma to improve our luck. However, wearing a replica amulet may bring about adverse effects – it may affect our luck negatively and even come along with a spirit which in serious cases lead to spirit possession.
3. How do I identify the authenticity of Thai amulets?
Thai amulets comprise a range of thousands of items with many diverse designs. To identify their authenticity, examiners must have specific knowledge of their imprints, materials and surface characteristics which may differ widely from one amulet type to another. However, many replicas were manufactured with the help of advanced technology which makes it increasingly difficult for people to separate the genuine from the fakes. Many experienced collectors, including resellers, have been cheated by their suppliers who sold them counterfeit goods.
4. Are there any restrictions on wearing my amulet?
Different people might give you different answers. It all boils down to the word “respect.” Here are some tips that you can take note of:
• Do not wear your amulet during sexual activity. Observe the 5 precepts if possible.
• Try to avoid improper positions such as being under another person feet or below a skirt.
