Golden words from Venerable Luang Phor Koon

- Do not go around 'showing off' how powerful your amulet is.

- Stay away from alcohol.

- Avoid sexual misconduct.

- Make use of the amulet to stay mindful at all times. You will thus refrain from committing evil acts.

- It is incorrect to think that possessing an amulet will make you powerful.

- After obtaining an amulet, constantly remind oneself to avoid evil as though the master is just beside us.

- To refrain from stealing (taking that which is not offered).

- Always tell yourself to avoid doing bad deeds because the Buddha is with us.

- When practicing the "Heart Sutra (Prajnaparamita)", one might encounter Mara but challenges make us stronger.

I don't have much and I am not good at expounding the Dhamma. I only want to emphasize this: “Cut off evil and practice goodness.” You must believe in the existence of merit and retribution. We should have morality and the precepts in our heart. To cherish yourself is to fear doing evil, a compassionate and loving heart brings peace. One who takes refuge in the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha should not be taking refuge in anything else. Believing that 'what goes around comes around' is more than enough. You should be filial and take care of your parents whilst they are still alive if you wish to gain more merit. How much merit can one gain from the 100 days mourning period?
